Day 1|Beijing Arrival & Welcome
Arrive in Beijing and settle into our peaceful retreat at the foot of the Western Hills. We’ll gather over welcome drinks and dinner to meet fellow runners and set the tone for the adventure ahead.
Included: Dinner with local craft beer.
Day 2|Olympic Spirit
We start with a 10 km / 6 mi shake-out run through Olympic Forest Park, the lush “backyard” of the 2008 Games. After exploring the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, we’ll share stories and strategies at an evening forum with Beijing’s top trail runners.
Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Profile: 10 km / 6 mi, elevation 40 m / 130 ft, relatively flat road and park paths
Day 3|Iconic Great Wall at Badaling Challenge
This is the big one: a 33km, 2,200m elevation trail challenge along the Great Wall at Badaling, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has stood for centuries as a symbol of China’s enduring spirit. Expect steep stone steps, wild wall sections, and breathtaking ridgelines. Checkpoints along the way provide hydration, fuel, coach’s feedback and encouragement. Finish within 10 hours to claim 2 ITRA Endurance points.
Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Profile: 33 km / 20.5 mi, elevation 1,970 m / 6,470 ft, trail-road-ancient-wall, no poles on wall.
Set off early at 6:30am
Day 4|Culture & Recovery
We balance recovery with discovery: exploring the Forbidden City, wandering ancient hutongs, and indulging in Beijing’s culinary icons—Peking roast duck by day, Beijing hotpot under the sounds of Peking opera by night. Guests may choose optional paid activities—yoga, pilates, or spa sessions—for added recovery.
Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Guided walking tour through Forbidden City and hutongs
Day 5|Fragrant Hills Finale
Our final run takes us to the Fragrant Hills, once the imperial escape of Qing emperors. A morning of technical drills (up-downhill techniques, pole work) leads into an unforgettable sunset run through pine forests and pagodas, ending with a BBQ, craft beer, and awards celebration under the evening sky.
Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Profile: 12 km / 7.5 mi, elevation 600 m / 1,968 ft, trail-dominant terrain.
(Optional: 24 km / 15 mi , elevation 1,300 m / 4,265 ft, trail-dominant terrain.)
Day 6|Farewell
We close our journey with breakfast and one last chance to share stories, before transfers to the airport. Full of memories—and maybe still a little sore—we leave Beijing with the trails still echoing in our hearts.
